Pilates Classes at Flip City Gymnastics: Transform your body in this gentle but challenging class with a series of exercises designed to lengthen and strengthen your whole body. Primary emphasis is core muscles (abdominals and back). Use of the Pilates Ring in class also targets arms, legs, and gluteals. Regular practice of Pilates helps to improve posture, tone and stretch muscles of the whole body, as well as release tension and increase energy. All levels of fitness are welcome since modifications are shown. This is not the latest "fad" exercise, it is a tried and true form of exercise that has stood the test of time and is used by people around the world for fitness, rehabilitation, and joy of movement. Monday nights 7:40-8:40pm
Winter session runs through April 4th.
The new Spring Session will begin Monday, April 11th and will run for 9 weeks. The dates are as follows: April 11, 18, 25, May 2, 9, 16, 23, and June 6 & 13. I am leaving two break weeks at the end on June just in case there are other school related cancellations needed. The cost is $108, if you pay upfront on April 11, otherwise the drop in rate is $15/class.
About me: Linda Frederick is an Exercise Physiologist with 24 years of group exercise experience and 11 years of Pilates experience. Linda holds certifications in AFAA (primary group exercise), Mad Dogg Athletics (Spinning), Physical Mind Institute (Pilates Mat, Ring, and Arc Barrel) and CPR/AED.
No experience is necessary to join since modifications are always presented. Come and see what a difference Pilates makes in the way you look and feel.
Classes are held at Flip City Gymnastics rear gym.
